Q&A

Q:What are the advantages of truck driver immigration?

A:Long-haul truck driver immigration has many advantages. Its application requirements are simple: no EOI score is required, the language requirements are the lowest among all Canadian immigration programs, there are no restrictions on residence, and you can settle in any province and city in Canada, with a low level of risk. It is east to apply for family immigration. And, since truck drivers are in short supply, there is no need to worry about finding a job.

Q:Do I need to be good in English to get a driver’s license in Canada?

A:It won’t be too difficult. Taking the BC driver’s license as an example, the written test for obtaining a BC driver’s license will provide a Chinese test paper. This is very friendly for applicants with poor English. However, obtaining a driver’s license is a test-taking ability, which is different from the language requirements of actual work. As a responsible truck driver, you definitely need the ability of communication in English.

Q:The applicant has no long-haul driving experience. After obtaining the truck driver’s license, will it be difficult to find a job and a sponsor?

A:Many organizations in Canadian provinces are actually more willing to recruit students who have just graduated from driving schools, because these students do not have high salary requirements, and new drivers do not have any bad habits, and they are more able to work in accordance with the requirements of employers.

Q:Is truck driver immigration a shortcut in immigration programs?

A:No, being a long-haul truck driver is not that easy. Drivers need to endure the loneliness and dullness of driving a truck for a very long time. Also, drivers need to have strong sense of responsibility, not only for themselves, but also for others and the cargos. Trucks are different from regular cars, they are large, hard to start and not easy to stop. Therefore, long-haul truck driver is not an easy-going occupation, so the applicants are advised to consider the job carefully.
