Introduction
Canadian Federal Skilled Trades is often referred to as FST. For skilled workers, the language requirements are low, but they must meet the Canadian local skilled workers’ requirements and have relevant work experience. After January 1, 2015, the FST category is also classified as the Canadian EE fast track category. Applicants who meet the FST requirements also need to queue up according to their scores and obtain the EE system invitation before they can apply for a visa.

Requirements
- Plan to live in a province other than Quebec (Quebec has its own criteria for selecting skilled workers);
- Meet the requirements of English and French, namely reach CLB 5 for listening and speaking (IELTS listening 5.0, speaking 5.0), reading and writing CLB 4 (IELTS reading 4.0, writing 4.0);
- At least 2 years of full-time (30 hours a week) skilled work experience, or an equivalent amount of part-time work experience 5 years before the application.
- Meet the technical work requirements in NOC;
- Obtain a full-time job offer with a total duration of at least 1 year or a technical professional qualification certificate issued by the Canadian provincial or territorial government.

- Submit online through Express Entry / EE portal.

- Enter the EE pool
- Obtain an invitation letter from the Immigration Office to apply for an program
- Submit application
- Immigration Office processing (about 6 months)
- Land as a permanent resident
