Introduction

The University of British Columbia, referred to as UBC, is located in Vancouver, Canada. It was founded in 1908 and formerly known as McGill University College of British Columbia (McGill University College of British Columbia), and was approved for independence in 1915. It is a well-known public research university in Canada, a member of Canadian U15 Research University Alliance, Pacific Rim University Alliance, Global University Advanced Research Institute Alliance, Universitas 21 and Commonwealth University Association. It is also has the longest history in British Columbia. Campus Information

The main campus of the UBC (Vancouver) covers an area of ​​4.02k square meters (6030 acres) and has many famous facilities. The school’s botanical garden, which collects about 8,000 species of plants, and the Anthropology Museum, which houses many natives of the Pacific Northwest, attracts most tourists and scholars every year. UBC has the second largest library system in Canada, with a collection of more than 5.4 million books, as well as tens of thousands of maps and e-books. The number of Asian language books is the largest in the country. In 2010, both the 21st Winter Olympic Games and the 10th Winter Paralympic Games officially held ice hockey and sled hockey competitions at the University’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Center. The UBC Press was established in 1971 to publish literature on domestic studies and Pacific studies. UBC is located on a peninsula to the west of Vancouver, a beautiful garden city on the west coast of Canada. With a mild climate and beautiful scenery, it is considered one of the most ideal cities to live in Canada. As famous as the campus, there is also its celestial beach. There are more than 200 buildings on the campus, including libraries, administrative buildings, teaching buildings, scientific research centers, astronomical observatories, dormitories, affiliated institutions, entertainment venues, cultural centers, hospitals, student union buildings and museums. The Student Union Building has restaurants, snack shops, bars, copy centers, gift shops, bowling alleys, information desks, photography studios, music rooms and women’s centers. In the museum, thousands of years of world cultural heritage are displayed, and more than 4.5 billion years of earth history is displayed. The campus also has the British Columbia Research Council Building and the Federal Government’s Fisheries, Forestry and Agricultural Sciences Building.

The UBC academic year is divided into 2 winter and summer semesters, and generally enrolls students in January and September (some undergraduate majors can only be enrolled in September) The specific time is as follows:

  • MBA: January, the end of August
  • Tofel score of 550-625, some majors also require GRE or GMAT scores with an average score of 85 or more
