What is SINP?

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has a reputation of being an “easy PNP”. This may be because of its high success rate and fast processing time. SINP has a variety of immigration options with which it provides immigration candidates. An employer who would like to recruit overseas applicants must first apply to the Saskatchewan government for an Job Approval Letter, and it is valid for 6 months from the date of approval, unless otherwise stated.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is an immigration program that favors prospective immigrants who possess the skills and experience needed in the province. SINP is a Nominated Skilled Immigrant Program for skilled workers, professionals or managers with a valid permanent full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer. Before coming to Canada with a work permit, applicants will need their employers to apply for JAL and provincial nomination. After landing with a work permit, applicant will receive their permanent resident card within an estimate processing time about 6 to 10 months.

Saskatchewan is one of the prairie provinces of Western Canada. Its economy is primarily based on agriculture and important natural resources industries like forestry and fishing. SINP Requirements

1. Score at least 60 points on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) point assessment grid；
2. Have an offer for a permanent, full-time, NOC 0/A/B job offer with a valid SINP Job Approval Letter to show proof ( JAL is worth 30 points in the assessment grid)；
3. Have a language score of at least Canadian Language Benchmark 4 （valid for 2 years）；
4. Have at least one-year work experience in the past 10 years (in your intended occupation)；
5. Proof of settlement fund.

The SINP Job Approval Letter (JAL) is a pre-approved authorization for an employer to hire a foreign worker that can apply to immigrate through the SINP.

• Eligible employers must followed the following steps to apply for SINP JAL online：
  1. Submit a Job Approval Form for each foreign skilled worker；
  2. Provide a job description for the position, its duties and responsibilities；
  3. Outline required qualifications, skills, education, language and salaries for the position.
• Jobs submitted by employers must meet the following requirements：
  • Meet median hourly wages in the local regions；
  • Meet the NOC required by the applicable categories (e.g. skilled worker positions must be in highly-skilled NOC O, A or B; meet the SINP experience categories or a designated skilled trade in Saskatchewan）；
  • A full-time permanent job (minimum 30 hours per week)；
  • Arranged work location in Saskatchewan.

Applicants can use the SINP’s online application system (OASIS) to file program applications and receive correspondence. 

Application Process

Stage 1: Complete a comprehensive assessment based on the client’s situations.

1. Receive applicant’s resume;
2. Score at least 60 points on the SINP point assessment grid;
3. Fill out relevant application forms;
4. Prepare supporting materials;
5. Find eligible employers.

Stage 2: Employers provide Job Offer, and apply for JAL.

1. Apply for JAL；
2. Provide Job offer to applicants；
3. Receive SINP JAL.

Stage 3: Apply for SINP.

1. Prepare relevant documents according to SINP application checklists;
2. Scan documents and apply for SINP;
3. SINP process the application;
4. Approval of provincial nomination and work permit application support letter(WPSL).

Stage 4：Apply to CIC for Work Permit.

1. Apply for applicant’s work permit；
2. Receive work permit；
3. Land in Canada；
4. Apply spouse open work permit or enroll children in schools, if applicable.

Stage 5：Apply to CIC for Permanent Resident Card.

1. CIC receive SINP nomination letter；
2. CIC check applicant’s medical and background information.

Stage 6：Receive Permanent Resident Card.

1. Request medical test；
2. Pass medical test；
3. Receive PR card.

Fees

• To become eligible to apply for Express Entry or OID sub-category of Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program, you need to pay a non-refundable $350 SINP application fee. 
• At federal stage：
  1. Principal applicant processing fee: $825; dependent child: $225.
  2. Right of permanent residence fee: $500.
